के डेरा, के घर, Short Film Cancer Awareness Film
On 10 May 2024, a Nepali short film raising awareness about cancer, titled “के डेरा, के घर” premiered at a placed QFX
cinema hall at CTC Mall in China Town,Tripureshor . The film, produced by MaHa Sanchar and coordinated by PP Rtn. Kiran Shrestha, attracted a large audience including the Mayor of Lalitpur Metropolitan City, Rotarians, cancer survivors, and other guests. Legendary actors, the MaHa Jodi, were also present.

Legendary actors, the MaHa Jodi, were also present.The program featured inspiring stories from cancer survivors Dolly Gurung, Tara Prasad Tripathi, and Sangita Shakya Thapa. Additionally, Chiribabu Maharjan, Mayor of Lalitpur, and Dr. Sudip Shrestha, chairman of Nepal Cancer Hospital & Research Center Ltd, provided insights on the current state of cancer treatment in Nepal.
Similarly, legendary MaHa Jodi shared their experience on film making. The event also included a welcome speech by Rtn Dr. Rabindra Roy and a vote of thanks delivered by Kedar Karki, Vice-President of the Nepal Cancer Relief Society Lalitpur Branch. Rtn. Twinkle Nyachhon kept the program engaging as the moderator.
“के डेरा, के घर” is a collaborative effort between the Rotary Club of Yala (RC Yala), Madan Devi Foundation, Nepal Cancer Hospital & Research Center Ltd, IGI Prudential Insurance Limited, Nepal Cancer Relief Society Lalitpur Branch, Upachar Ko Laagi Sahayogi Haatharu, LMC-16, and Purna Mangal Joshi. The MaHa Jodi presented representatives from these organizations with letter of appreciation in recognition of their contribution to the film.
