A Jindalee Delegation Visits Nepal and Supports Rotary Projects

A group of eight Rotarians from Jindalee, a suburb of Brisbane, Australia, recently embarked on a humanitarian mission to Nepal. Their primary goal was to support the Rotary Club of Yala’s ongoing Toilet Construction project.

The Australian delegation generously contributed approximately 6,000 Australian dollars to fund this vital initiative. They had the opportunity to witness firsthand the positive impact of their support by visiting project sites at Harishiddhi, Kitini, and Phulchoki Secondary Schools. These schools had recently completed toilet construction projects made possible by the previous year’s funding.

During their visit, the Australian Rotarians attended the RWM 1438 meeting, where they were warmly welcomed by the President of RC Yala. A symbolic exchange of Rotary club flags took place, fostering international camaraderie. Following the meeting, the group participated in a fellowship program to further strengthen the bonds between the two clubs.

To conclude their enriching trip, the members of RC Yala hosted a farewell party in Thamel, providing a memorable send-off for the Australian delegation.
