“Happy Family” : Speaker Rtn Shailendra Bajracharya
During Meeting #1365, one of the oldest member of Rotary Club of Yala Rtn Shailendra Bajracharya motivate all the participants by presenting talk on “6 Basic Steps for happy family”. He gave some tips, which seem very simple but are ignored by all of us in practical life. If we adopt these tips in our daily life, it certainly helps to build a happy family. In fact, these matters are very significance, so everybody should follow.
In a joint family especially in Newars, some dispute, disagreement, conflict etc, are common within the family, which may interrupt the spirit of Happy Family. Most important thing is how to manage these differences that contribute to maintain harmony and peace in a family. To making happy family, at first, let’s start from ourselves, let’s learn and let’s do tiny household jobs.
- While entering inside a home and existing from the home, we encounter, at the first sight shoes & slippers. In the case of scattering state of shoes, one does not feel decent and nice. Let’s arrange shoes properly is the lesson no 1.
- Outsiders generally go into toilet. They make perception about entire family seeing condition of washroom. Lesson no 2 is to cleaning toilet once in a day.
- Relatives and friends who come to house appreciate when they see cleaned house. So cleaning up the house like dusting the floor, mopping, mowing, wiping, washing etc. is most important. All members as per their capacity must do a little bit effort to clean up the house
- To make neat and clean kitchen is also important factor to make a family happy state. Everybody must have a sense that I do even if other disregards. Washing the utensils on time, filling up the water bottle, keeping in order spoon/fork etc,
- One should always have a smile adorned on their face. Frown on the face must be avoided. This makes one more approachable. Verbal communication among the members must be made habitual as it helps get rid of all the pent-up anger and dissatisfaction.
- Humane feelings must be developed at first which would help increase the feelings of kindness, compassion, attachment, and love among each other. If all family member has habit of loving each other, family will be very happy.
Above mentioned things must be practiced in daily life by everybody to feel happy. Having money in hand is not sufficient to be a happy person. We should avoid procrastination regarding this. He requested all members present in the meeting to communicate this message to their near and dear.
