One‐day Cancer Camp in Bhadrapur
Rotary Club of Yala Anns’ Group organized a one day cancer camp in Bhadrapur in collaboration with Rotary Club
Bhadrapur with support from Bhadrapur Marwadi Mahila Manch and Bhadrapur Apang Sangh on March 31, 2018.
A total of 273 women were examined with VIA Test carried out by a medical team led by Dr. Jeetendra Pariyar and 5 other medical personnel from National Cancer Hospital and Research Center, Jawalakhel.
A team of 7 Rotarians and Anns, PDG Dilendra Raj Shrestha, Rtn. Urmila Shrestha, Rtn. Urmila Amatya, Rtn. Kiran Nath Shrestha, Ann President Mina Shrestha, Ann Bhabani Shrestha, Ann Minu Pradhan and the medical team drove for 12 hrs from Kathmandu to reach Bhadrapur on March 30, 2018.
Dr. Jeetendra also made a presentation to the women came for check‐up and test about what cancer is all about and how cervical and breast cancer be detected early or the possibility of cancer in future so that they can be prevented, during the camp.
Rotary Club of Yala Anns’ Group took responsibility of expenses of the medical team while RC Bhadrapur arranged the transportation, food and accommodation of the team from Kathmandu. The expense for medical team paid by RC Yala Anns Group is Rs. 45,000.00.
Out of 273 women examined 7 found VIA positive (does not mean cancer positive) and one suspected of cervical cancer and needs immediate response.
